Bottled: Unknown
Number of bottles: Unknown (70ππ)
DESCRIPTION:
Bertrand is a historic Cognac House. Since 1731, the famous house located in the Petite Champagne, produces cognac.
Worth a visit? Yes, of course. Therese and Daniel will show you the whole production and the warehouse. Followed by a tasting
They mainly use Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes.
This VSOP has aged for 10 years in oak barrels.
COLOUR:
Autumn gold
NOSE:
Fresh fruit salad. I have apples, mango, apricot. And there is a beautiful toffee note warming the nose.
PALATE:
The palate is also fruity and after a while I have some wood spices showing up.
FINISH:
Medium long, but quite powerful finish for a VSOP. A little bit tobacoo and woody again.
OVERALL IMPRESSION:
For me personal, it's one of the best VSOP's I have tasted so far. It's well balanced and I really like the spices form the wood which are present all the time.
By the way it is a perfect starter, if you are new to the Cognac world.
