Lheraud Lot 70/23
ALC: 51,9 % (cask strength)
Bottled by: Le Gus't
Bottled: 2023
Number of bottles: 178 (70ππ)
DESCRIPTION:
I didn't had the opportunity to taste many Lherauds. But the ones I've tasted were phenomenal.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to visit Lheraud. As far as I know it's only possible for traders.
From the Lot 70/23 and as well from the Lot 78/23 I had samples.
Really excited to try them.
COLOUR:
Hazelnut
NOSE:
First, there is this freshness coming from the alcohol. But not disturbing. A little bit vanilla beans and guava.
Far away there is also a somewhat musty, damp smell.
PALATE:
Very clean palate. There is a nice balance between sweetness and dryness. But, like from the Lot 78/23, I'm missing the power from the wood. Again some tropical fruitness from the nose, like mango and again guava.
FINISH:
Now, finally, we have some wood. But the finish is a little bit to bitter for me and medium long. As well there is this mustiness from the nose.
OVERALL IMPRESSION:
This one has more power from the wood, but not what I was hoping to get. It's an average-good cognac.
RESULT:
- 81/100 -
